1. Q: Making a smart album to collect photos from each year didn't work for me and any photos were forgotten by the software. I had to look at the photos from all the photos.

   A: Go back to the video and follow the rules exactly on the Smart Album shown. If the drop down boxes are selected correctly it will work.

   Q: I have sorted my photos into folders and albums in iPhoto.
   I thought it would sync to Google photos but the photos are there but not in albums.
   I have looked but can’t seem to find a way to shift my newly created albums into Google photos.

   A: iPhoto won’t sync with Google photos.
   
   Personally I prefer using iCloud to sync all my photos rather than Google. Please also be aware that this is not a back up so you should consider backing everything up an external hard drive or an online backup like iDrive.
   
   When you are making changes to your photos on iCloud it can take several hours to sync between all devices.
   
   If you’d still prefer to stay with Google you may need to manually upload photos to Google and then create a folder structure but that would be doubling up your work.
